“There are not a lot of things that influenced my life the way Drum and Bass did!”
This quote of Kronik demonstrates the strong intimacy he has with “his music”. The energy behind the strident bass that comprises Drum and Bass has intrigued him since the beginning of the 90s, and has never let him go to this day.
It was quickly clear that he would end up behind the turntables and so it came that he first started to spin his own records in 2000. As he was a young DJ of great talent, only two months later he landed his first public gig.
After a year of exploration, he joined the “DB-Sounddepartment” and because of their support and his incredible mixing skills, he soon became one of the most well known DJs in southwest Germany. His sound ranges from between melancholic and dark but always stays good to dance to and intense. Over and over again, he beguiles the crowd with his feel for music.
After countless events in collaboration with “DB-Sounddepartment” later, he started his own fresh concept “Tiefklang”, at “Unsichtbar” in Saarbrücken. Every month for an evening, this event offers young, ambitious artists, both national and international, a stage in front of large audiences in the Saarland and let them play beside of some big names in the scene, like Ant TC1, BTK, Phace and lots of others, as well.
“Tiefklang” has in the mean time made a name for itself across the international borders as one of the most renowned series of events in the German-speaking world. Kronik remains in the spotlight as he crosses borders, spreading his vision of the powerful Drum and Bass mix sets everywhere.
